803 Tumbleweed Trail N, Austin, TX 78733
New Construction

2,650 square feet

Tour Parking: Take Bee Caves Rd. to Marly Way at the Seven Oak entrance. The house driveway entry is from Marly Way ONLY. There will be signs guiding you to the paved drive. Drive on the right, up to the turn around location and park on the downhill side. Please refrain from driving, parking or walking on the meadow.

The North Tumbleweed Residence is a single-family home, which aims to balance minimalism with a vital and direct appeal to the Texas landscape. The base of the house is surrounded by dry-stacked limestone which was excavated from the site. This natural, yet tailored wall marks the transition from nature to order. Deep overhangs and a total of 16 operable vent flaps throughout allow the homeowner to naturally cool the structure for most of the year. Both the interior and exterior walls are finished with a smooth Venetian plaster, further blurring the lines between indoors and outdoors. As a reflection of the homeowner’s eccentricities, subtle nods to late music icon Prince have weaved their way into the architectural detailing and finishes of the home.
