FAB Architecture

1213 Cullen Ave. Austin, TX 78757
New Construction

3,350 square feet

This home has been designed around the needs of a family of four who decided to start fresh with a new build in an Austin neighborhood they love. Functional spaces are combined with touches of high craft to create a seemingly simple building that maintains traditional elements of the surrounding architecture while being expressly contemporary in execution. The exterior is composed of a two-story stucco volume pierced by board-and-batten walls with full-height glazing and a low roof that wraps to form the carport at the front. Inside, floor-to-ceiling cabinets and delicate wood screens define living spaces with maximum efficiency and character. The project’s earthen tones, grounded aesthetic, and materiality were developed closely with the owners to create a personalized home that will serve the family for years to come.
